مسجد (مسجد) روڈ پر واقع لال مسجد شاید دارالحکومت کے اندر سب سے زیادہ   قائم مسجد ہے۔ فیصل مسجد کی ترقی سے پہلے ، لال مسجد دارالحکومت میں سب سے بڑی تھی۔ ایک غیر معمولی فوکل پوزیشن میں واقع ، یہ دو مقبوضہ کاروباری برادریوں کے قریب ہے ، مشرق میں آبپارہ مارکیٹ اور شمال میں میلوڈی مارکیٹ۔ یہ کیپیٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) کے ریکارڈ کے ذریعے کام کیا گیا۔ مولانا محمد عبداللہ کو اس کا پہلا امام نامزد کیا گیا۔ عبداللہ محمد ضیاء الحق کے علاوہ تمام مقننہ کی سرزنش کرتا تھا۔ محمد ضیاء الحق کے مولانا محمد عبداللہ کے ساتھ خوشگوار تعلقات تھے جو مسجد کے پچھلے ٹاپ تھے۔ سوویت افغان جنگ (1979–1989) کے دوران ، لال مسجد نے مجاہدین کو منتخب کرنے اور تیار کرنے میں حصہ لیا/افغان مجاہدین کے ساتھ لڑنے یا بند کرنے کے لیے۔ اس کی حقیقت کے ذریعے چند ہزار مرد و خواتین پڑوسی مدرسوں میں رہتے ہیں۔

History 

The Red Mosque situated on Masjid (mosque) Road is perhaps the most established mosque inside the capital. Before the development of the Faisal Mosque, the Red Mosque was the biggest in the capital. Situated in an exceptionally focal position, it lies in closeness to the two occupied business communities, Aabparah market in the east and Melody market in the north. It was worked by Capital Development Authority (CDA) records. Maulana Muhammad Abdullah was named its first imam. Abdullah was reproachful of all legislatures aside from Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq's. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq had a cozy relationship with Maulana Muhammad Abdullah, the previous top of the mosque. During the Soviet-Afghan War (1979–1989), the Red Mosque assumed a part in selecting and preparing mujahideen/to battle with or close by Afghan mujahideen. All through its reality, a few thousand male and female understudies have lived in neighboring seminaries.

After Maulana Muhammad Abdullah was killed in 1998, his children Abdul Aziz and Abdul Rashid assumed control over the mosque, Abdul Aziz stays the authority khateeb (message provider) of the Mosque.
